Water treatment for catering equipment
Hard water leaves limescale in glasswashers, dishwashers and combi ovens, which spoils results and shortens the life of heating elements and pumps. Much of the south of England has hard water.
European Watercare makes Autosoft softeners for glasswashers and dishwashers fed with cold water, hot water softeners, and Vapour treatment units for combi ovens, which are regenerated and reused rather than thrown away.
Some equipment makers make water treatment a condition of their warranty, so it is worth fitting it when you buy a new machine.
