Planned Preventative Maintenance for Commercial Kitchens

A planned preventative maintenance (PPM) contract puts your commercial kitchen equipment on a regular servicing schedule, so faults are found and fixed before they stop service. We run PPM contracts for kitchens across Hampshire, Surrey, Berkshire and west London.

What is a planned preventative maintenance contract?

It is an agreed schedule of servicing for the equipment in your kitchen. Instead of waiting for something to break, our engineers inspect, clean, lubricate and calibrate each appliance at set intervals.

Commercial kitchen equipment works hard every day. Ovens, fryers, grills, refrigeration and dishwashers that are serviced regularly break down less often, run more efficiently and last longer.

We devise the schedule with you, setting out which equipment is covered, what each visit includes and how often we come.

What does a PPM visit include?

Each visit follows the schedule we agree for your kitchen. Depending on the equipment, it includes:

  • Electrical safety checks.
  • A full function test.
  • Panels removed to check for leaks, damage or corrosion.
  • Temperatures checked, verified and calibrated.
  • Seals, doors and hinges checked, and greased if necessary.
  • Refrigeration condensers cleaned and refrigeration pressures checked.
  • Safety devices tested.
  • Equipment cleaned internally, including burners, venturis and pilots.
  • Gas equipment tested for soundness, working pressures, CO2 levels and flame pictures.
  • A CP42 gas safety certificate issued.

Visits can be quarterly, every six months or once a year, depending on what your kitchen needs. Busy sites often choose more frequent visits.
